The District welcomes Scottdale native Jacob Levendosky as our AmeriCorps service member for this year! Jacob is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in Biology. He has experience working on water quality issues in the region having interned for both our local Jacob’s Creek Watershed Association and Three Rivers Waterkeeper in Pittsburgh. In his few short weeks at the District, Jacob has already helped to install monitoring equipment, developed educational programs for local youth, and visited homeowners in the area to help start lawn to meadow conversions. Jacob is excited to learn more as he serves his year term and looks forward to new experiences with District staff.
