Terry Stewart has joined the District as an AmeriCorps member for 2023-2024. Terry is a recent graduate of PennWest California with a bachelor’s degree in fisheries and wildlife biology and a strong interest in environmental restoration. His experience includes working on stream improvement and maintenance projects at Rolling Rock Country Club, where he also was a fly fishing guide.
Terry is working closely with Kylie Schultz, the District’s watershed specialist and former AmeriCorps Member. Since starting his term on August 21, Terry has assisted with restoring a streambank in Haymaker Run and repairing a water quality monitor at St. Vincent College. He also is coordinating recycling efforts at the District office. We are excited to have Terry on our team to continue promoting watershed stewardship throughout Westmoreland County!
