Cover Crop Initiative Announcement

Farmers interested in adding cover crops on their property can apply for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) funding through the Westmoreland Cosnervation District’s Cover Crop Initiative. The initiative is outlined on pages 6 and 7 of the District’s ACAP policy, which can be found here.
The Westmoreland Conservation District’s Cover Crop Initiative will begin accepting applications on July 1, 2026. The window for application will close on July 31, 2026.
All completed applications must be postmarked no later than July 31, 2026. If hand delivered to the Westmoreland Conservation District or by email, they must be received by 4:00 p.m. on July 31, 2026.
