A team from Norwin High School was the winner of the Westmoreland County 2021 Virtual Envirothon! Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this year’s event was held virtually. Students relied on YouTube videos, audio recordings, and other online resources to prepare for the tests, which were emailed to the teams. The Norwin team will compete for scholarships and prizes at the virtual Pennsylvania Envirothon in May.
Southmoreland Team 1 came in second in the county Envirothon, and Southmoreland Team 2 came in third. Also participating were teams from Burrell High School, Derry Area High School, and Franklin Regional High School.
