Pedaling for Conservation

Explore conservation topics while biking the Westmoreland Heritage Trail

Bring your bike and join staff and volunteers from the Westmoreland Conservation District (WCD), Westmoreland Heritage Trail (WHT), and Turtle Creek Watershed Association (TCWA) on this easy, 8-mile (round trip) ride on one of the area’s most popular recreation spots.

Bikers will stop at multiple sites to hear from speakers about conservation and restoration projects along the trail and learn about local history.

Cost is $20, which includes a Pedaling for Conservation t-shirt and year-long memberships to TCWA and WHT. Proceeds will benefit both TCWA and WHT.

Participants must bring their own bikes! Park and sign in at the rear of Hoss’s Family Steak and Sea House, 4813 William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, 15668.

Ride will happen rain or shine.   Space is limited to the first 30 participants.

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
