Plein Air Paint Out at the Westmoreland Conservation District

Calling visual artists 18 and older! Come out and enjoy a unique Plein Air (outdoor) Painting  opportunity at the Westmoreland Conservation District barn and conservation campus July 23, 24 & 25, 2024.

Register early. Space is limited. Registration cost: $15. Interested painters can register by calling 724-837-5271,  emailing jen@wcdpa.com or using the registration link below. All who register will be able to submit up to three paintings juried for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. The paintings will be displayed and sold in the barn for one week after the event. Payment is due on registration.

What can you submit? You may submit up to three pieces of your original work (painting, drawing and mixed media), with a minimum of 80% painted outside during the Plein Air Paint Out. Artwork should be presented as ready for display and sale. It does not need to be framed. Larger works will be considered, but smaller works are more desirable.

You may drop off your submissions that week up until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024

A Reception with Exhibition, Sale and Awards will take place Friday, July 26 at the Westmoreland Conservation District barn 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Conservation District will keep 10% of every sale.

This event is designed to promote the mission, projects and programs of the Westmoreland Conservation District as it celebrates its 75th Anniversary in 2024. By particiating, artists agree to allow photos of themselves and their artwork to be used for this purpose.
