POSTPONED UNTIL JUNE 13 – Recycle Tires to Reduce Mosquitoes. Discounted Tire Recycling Fees will be offered at Westmoreland Cleanways Recycling Center, 355 Pleasant Unity Mutual Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 from 8:30 until Noon. This is a collaboration between Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling and the Westmoreland Conservation District’s West Nile Virus Program. From 8:30 a.m. until noon, every waste tire you bring to the Westmoreland Cleanways Recycling Center will be accepted for $1 off the regular fee (e.g., passenger/lite truck tires off rim will be only $2 instead of $3.) Please note: Groups cleaning up tires from illegal dump sites MUST register with the 2020 Great American Cleanup of PA to receive free tire recycling on May 9. Businesses are not eligible for the recycling discount. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted!
