Westmoreland Woodlands Improvement Association
This local organization provides a forum for anyone interested in woodlands. There is a nominal annual membership fee.
Aboretum
On the grounds of the District’s headquarters, an arboretum features more than 70 different tree varieties. A variety of native perennials and shrubs also are planted on the grounds.
Wood Display
More than 15 different kinds of Pennsylvania hardwoods, obtained from local contractors, are used for wall surfaces and furniture in the District’s headquarters and available for viewing during regular business hours.
